2024 Harvesting Season

The 2024 Harvesting season is off to a good start. A reminder to all residents that we will do weed pickup off of the end of docks on Fridays, weather permitting. Please do not leave the weeds at your shoreline or break wall as we have had some damage to our machines while attempting to get into shore with the lower water levels as well as wind issues while trying to maneuver in tighter areas between docks, hoists and moored boats. Again, weeds should only be left on the ends of your dock for a successful pickup.  
We have a few openings on the board of the SBIA. If you are a resident of the weed district and a current member of SBIA and you are interested in volunteering to be on our board please contact our president Todd Harris.
A reminder that our Annual Business Meeting and Picnic will be held at the Boat House Restaurant on Saturday August 17th. Festivities will start at 11:30 for our social hour and our lunch/meeting to follow at 12:30. The "More" tab at the top of this page has a link to the membership/Picnic application.
